Centrum umění a vzdělávání De Montfort

Mnozí se již nějakou dobu zajímáte o to, co se zrodí v tomto objektu bývalých potravin. Nač se tu tedy v tomto roce můžete těšit?

• Budujeme zde galerii současného umění a multilinguistické vzdělávací centrum

• Připravujeme prostor pro prezentaci regionální a extra-regionální umělecké tvorby

Kdy otevřeme?

Právě zde probíhá rozsáhlá rekonstrukce nejen prezentačních prostor, ale také budoucích suterénních dílen. V rekonstrukci interiérů spolupracujeme s několika firmami, především ale s firmou A.B.Stav z Bílovce, která má také na starost budování našeho nové vznikajícího Komunitního centra PAVILON.

Město Nový Jičínjiž provedlo projekt na rekonstrukci výkladců, dveří a fasády, které v konečném efektu naváže na rekonstrukci interiérů a stane se tak finálním krokem k otevření objektu. Budget na tento projekt je v řádu několika milionů korun, aby tato historická památka byla zachována. Nyní je proces ve fázi výběru dodavatele a zhotovitele tohoto důležitého aspektu celé revitalizace. Za takovéto partnerství s vedením města jsme opravdu vděčni!

Pokud vše proběhne podle plánů, budeme s příchodem léta hotovi.

Slavnostnímu otevření bude předcházet předběžné otevření pro partnery, umělce, kurátory, městské organizace a občany, kteří mají zájem se podílet na vývoji našeho projektu. V těchto dnech se sladíme s programem města Nový Jičín, budeme naslouchat návrhům a přáním vás všech, kteří v místě pracujete, v blízkosti bydlíte, nebo máte jiný zájem být součástí našeho příběhu.

Slavnostní otevření bude výhledově koncem měsíce července, kdy uspořádáme večerní banket s hudbou a pohoštěním. V interiérech představíme první kurátorsky ucelenou kolekci uměleckých děl a artefaktů. Na tuto akci se velmi těšíme, jelikož bude takovým vyústěním našich zkušeností v oblasti kultury za posledních 8 let na území České Republiky.

De Montfort Arts and Education Center

Many of you have been wondering for some time what will be born in this former food facility. So what can you look forward to this year?

• We are building a contemporary art gallery and a multilingual educational center here
• We are preparing a space for the presentation of regional and extra-regional artistic creation
• We organize cultural events, benefit events and projects with supra-regional participation
• We publish erudite and emerging artists and help them establish themselves in the market
• We expand the reputation of the region in cooperation with citizens, organizations and the city of New York
• We build multinational groups to improve communication and employment in English
• We create a cultural environment where city residents and tourists will feel good and welcome

When do we open?

At the moment the space undergoes an extensive reconstruction of not only the presentation spaces, but also the future basement workshops is taking place. In the reconstruction of the interiors, we are cooperating with several companies, but primarily with the company A.B.Stav from Bílovce, which is also in charge of building our new emerging Community Center PAVILON.

The city of Nový Jičín has carried out a project to reconstruct the shop windows, doors and facades, which will ultimately follow the reconstruction of the interiors and will thus become the final step towards opening the building. The budget for this project is in the order of several million crowns, so that this historical monument is preserved. The process is now in the phase of selecting a supplier and contractor for this important aspect of the entire revitalization. We are truly grateful for such a partnership with the city administration!

If everything goes according to plan, we will be finished by the arrival of summer.

The grand opening will be preceded by a preliminary opening for partners, artists, curators, city organizations and citizens who are interested in participating in the development of our project. These days we will align ourselves with the program of the city of Nový Jičín, we will listen to the suggestions and wishes of all of you who work in the area, live nearby, or have another interest in being part of our story. The grand opening is expected to take place at the end of July, when we will host an evening banquet with music and refreshments. The interiors will feature the first comprehensive curated collection of artworks and artifacts. We are very much looking forward to this event, as it will be the culmination of our experience in the field of culture over the past 8 years in the Czech Republic.
